Mr. Kenneth Jerome Sloan Sr. was born July 20, 1962, in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Russell Sloan Jr. and JoAnn (Wynn) Sloan. He was joined in Holy Matrimony on November 20, 1999, to Sharon (Boykin) Sloan. Kenny was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ on August 22, 2010, and was ordained a deacon on April 6, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia. Brother Kenny was known as a spiritual leader, a loving husband, a dedicated father, brother, nephew, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted wife, Sharon Sloan of New Port Richey, FL; three sons Kenneth Sloan Jr. and Travis Sloan of Boynton Beach, FL, and Justin Sloan of Pelham, AL; three daughters Shamika Sloan of West Palm Beach, FL, Stasha Chaires (Fredrick) of Tallahassee, FL, and Aisha (Travis) Smith of Orlando, FL; one brother Ricky Sloan Sr.(Roshawn) of Boynton Beach, FL; two brothers-in-law Keith Baldwin of West Palm Beach, FL, and Stephen Baldwin (Pamela) of Riverton, NJ, and sister-in-law Karen Baldwin of Warner Robins, GA; 11 grandchildren Alonni Sloan, Taelynn Sloan, Travis Sloan Jr., Troy Sloan, Taylor Sloan, Tayvon Sloan, Christiana (Timothy) Kelly, Kweli Chaires, Tramari Smith, Alayzia Smith, and Travaya Smith all who loved him and called him Granddaddy, Pop-Pop, and Grandpop; one God-daughter Chloe Wilkins and two bonus daughters/nieces Kendra Sloan and Sarah Baldwin; four uncles Carlton Sloan of Sylvester, GA; Bobby Wynn (Patricia) of Pavo, GA; Albert Wynn Jr. of Moultrie, GA; and Tony Wynn of Moultrie, GA; four aunts Betty Sloan-Ward (Johnny) of Moultrie, GA; Elizabeth Wright (Lewis) of Boynton Beach, FL; Betty Williams of Moultrie, GA; and Sarah Swain of Pavo, GA. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kenny touched many lives but had a special bond with his devoted friends; John (Bonnie) Hebb, Castine Edwards, Charmagne Grant, Dorothy Strong-Benjamin, Malcolm (Shirley) Paxton, Chuck (Diane) Maddox, Ron (Kim) Morle, and Heath Harris.
Kenny was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Steven Sloan.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
A visitation will occur Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
