He was born to Julio and Julia Rodriguez on July 5th, 1957 in Lorain, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Zonia Rickenbrode, on Sweetest Day, October 18th, 1975. Together they shared 47 years of marriage blessed by their shared faith in Christ.
After graduating from Admiral King High School, Julio began his career at Ford Motor Company as an assembly line worker in the Brook Park, Ohio Engine plant and retired 30 years later at the Kentucky Truck Plant as a Quality Control Manager. Before moving to Kentucky in 1997, Julio enjoyed many years in fellowship at Grace Gospel Hall in Lorain, Ohio, and most recently at Carrollwood Bible Chapel in Tampa, FL. Julio had a life-long passion for spreading the gospel as a church elder, preacher, role model and mentor to the youth in his community. Julio was a good listener and over the years friends often sought his advice and trusted his wisdom. Julio enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, woodworking, and working on home improvement projects.
He is survived by his wife, Zonia, his son Julio (Katie) Rodriguez, daughter Elizabeth (Deven) Alldaffer, and 9 Grandchildren: Isabelle Alldaffer, Camila Alldaffer, Lucas Alldaffer, Vinny Alldaffer, Julio Gabriel Rodriguez, Gabriella Sherard, Savannah Sherard, Braden Sherard, and Gavin Rodriguez, his 7 siblings David, Sam (Julia), Mildred (Bruce), Zoraida (Bruce), Ruty (Bill), and Gladys (Tony), and Ezequiel (Sherlene). Julio was preceded in death by his parents Julio and Julia Rodriguez.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday December 28th, from 12 to 1 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. His funeral service will be held the same day and location beginning at 1 PM. Interment to follow at the adjacent memorial gardens property.
