Colon, Jenaro of New Port Richey, passed away on December 19 at the age of 82. Jenaro left his home in Puerto Rico to serve his country during the Korean War where he earned a Purple Heart as an Army infantryman. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Yvonne; parents, Juanita Matos and Nicholas Colon. Jenaro is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rosalia; daughters, Janet Rodriguez and Jacqueline Rue; nine grandchildren, Krysia and Erica Villalobos, Jerry Gomez, Janet and Vanessa Rodriguez, Evelyn, Sean, Alberto and Aaron Rue; nine great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews.
