Frederick E. Cochrane, 91, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Frederick was born in Bailieborough, Ireland on February 19, 1930. Fred graduated from high school and received his master jeweler certificate from Mastery Jewelers of Ireland.
Fred was a master jeweler and a clock and watch repairer. He traveled to Toronto, Canada where he met the love of his life, Josephine Culleton. They were married November 26th 1955. The couple moved to Brooklyn, New York then later to Wantagh, Long Island. Fred was employed by Rolex as a diamond watch designer. They had two children Frederick (Suzanne), Glenn and five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Later they moved to New Port Richey, Florida where they owned Cochrane Jewelers. After retiring, he traveled extensively. They both were very involved with The Sons and Daughters of Erin Irish Club. Fred played the accordion, fiddle, organ and guitar. He played in many Irish events.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Thomas Cochrane, several brothers and sisters and his wife Josephine Cochrane. He is survived by His sons Frederick (Suzanne) and Glenn. His Grandchildren Jennifer (Greg) Thomas (Sara) Sam, Abby and Beth, and his Great Grandchildren Brody, Mackenzie and Miles.
