Francis was born in New York City on May 10, 1936. His childhood instilled a lifelong passion for model trains, radio control airplanes and boats which he would love to speak about to anyone who would listen.
Francis first met and bonded with Ann Eppig, his wife while on a short leave serving as a proud Marine.
Shortly after that, they were married October 14, 1956 after he was honorably discharged from Service.
Francis worked for the New York City Transit Authority as an Electrician rewiring train cars and retired in 1991. He an Ann moved to Myrtle Beach, SC where they continued to enjoy retirement playing golf, tennis and traveling with family and friends.
Unfortunately his devoted wife Ann passed away April 2000 but he continued to play golf and spend as much time as he could with his friends. In 2015, Francis moved to Sun City Center, Florida where he could be close to his son.
Francis leaves behind his son Frank Watson and his son’s Fiancée Jane Butticci, daughter Denise Mulholland, son in law George Mulholland, brother Donald Watson and many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
A Celebration of Life In Memory of Francis Joseph Watson will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024
