Yvonne Carambat Ostendorf

Yvonne Carambat Ostendorf passed away on August 22, 2015 at the age of 93. A native of New Orleans and a resident of River Ridge, LA for the past 61 years. Daughter of the late Joseph Carambat, II and Leyda Addison. Beloved wife of the late Harold A. Ostendorf, Sr. by first marriage and the late John R. Reinhard, Jr. by second marriage. Survived by daughter Janice O. Lewis and son Harold A. Ostendorf, Jr. (Linda). Sister of Joseph Carambat, III (Earline), the late Myra C. Murphy and Vera C. Welker. Sister-in-law of Charles E. Murphy. Grandmother of Kelly L. Montagnino (Mario), David W. Ostendorf (Kara), Steven M. Ostendorf, Donna M. Ferguson (Edmund), eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Ostendorf was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Youth Advisor, Sunday School Teacher, and church school superintendent at St. Matthew United Church of Christ (now Central St. Matthew UCC). A special thanks for the nursing and loving care of Trudy Hall, Heather Parker, and Passages Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
