Born in Houston, Texas on December 13, 1957, William received an Associate's Degree from Delgado Community College, was a Master Technician, and was ASE Certified. He became a respected Professor at Delgado and ran the General Motors Training Center.
William was a member of Endymion since 1991, and in later years served as Float Lieutenant; and he was a part of the New Orleans Rugby Community since 1978. He helped coach a few teams in the area, specifically for Brother Martin High School, while his son was a student thereof. He later became a Certified Referee.
He was a loving son, brother, spouse, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a big personality; the silence his death leaves is deafening. We gather solace by knowing he is reunited with his parents and son, Joseph, in Heaven, whom he missed so much.
William is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marie; daughter Barbara and her children Hallie and Christopher; son William (Stephanie) and their children Josephine, Penelope, Finn, and Gabriel; brothers Chuck (Sarah), Mark (Leigh), and Steven (Paula); sisters-in-law Sissy (David), Dottie, Maria (Carlos), and Rose (Michael); and many nieces and nephews. He was a fun uncle. He was preceded in death by parents Henry Grady Traylor and Barbara Sue Richards Traylor; and son, Joseph Greve Traylor.
The family would like to thank Craig and Suzanne (Nanaan) Boudreaux for their love and support at this difficult time; we could not have undergone this without you.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Spina Bifida of LA, PO Box 1346, Kenner, LA 70063 https://www.sblouisiana.org/donation-page would be most appreciated.
