William H. Montgomery Jr.

William Henry Montgomery Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi unfortunately passed away on November 26, 2022, at Slidell Memorial Hospital at age 73. William was born August 01, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late Valrian B. & William Henry Montgomery Sr. William grew up in Hollygrove, attended Dunbar School, Green Junior Highschool, and graduated from John F. Kennedy Highschool. After high school, William married and had five children, Laura, William III, Matthew, Stephen, and Mark. William was taught many gardening techniques and how to serve parties by his late Grandfather. William was trained in Industrial Diving and Industrial pipe fitting. William’s Diving profession lasted for a short time, but most of his work was at Avondale. William later met Sandra and they fell in love and moved to Picayune, Mississippi. William and Sandra were married for 25 years, and William gained a son Byron Snipes. William most importantly loved to cook and host for all his family and friends. William was loved by all who knew him and took special joy in all his Grandchildren.

William will be sadly missed by his daughter, Laura Montgomery of New Jersey; His sons, Matthew (Kelly) Montgomery of New Jersey, Stephen Montgomery of New Jersey, Mark Montgomery of Louisiana, and Byron Snipes of Mississippi. His Grandchildren, Sharae, Zaena, Michael, Zaria, Nadia, Daniel, Kaylynn, Matthew Jr, Tia, Stephen Jr, Jezirah, Esteban, Ravia, Osiris, and Rhysi. His Great Grandchildren, Daniel Jr, Daniella, and Kali. His Siblings, Kaaren (Jimmy) Montgomery-Grimes, Marsha (Jack) Montgomery, Thomas (Dawn) Montgomery, Robert (Deborah) Montgomery, and Consuella (Jonta) Gray. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
