Walter Taylor

Walter Alan Taylor passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 54 surrounded by family and friends. Walter graduated from Bonnabel High School and attended Nicholls State University and Delgado Community College. Walters love of cars lead him to a career in auto mechanics. He had a passion for sports, knowledge, and a thirst for the unknown and unexplained. He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Walter will be remembered by his mother Elisa Elena Taylor; daughter Haleyxa Dicket (Rusty); son Julio Pena; Fiancé Marisol Ponce; grandchildren Haley, Anjelica, Annmarie, Olivia, Tyler, Isaiah, Natalia, Ava, Emma, Leah, Naciely, Catherine, and Nathan; brother Stuart Taylor; sister Elisa Duplantis (Chris); and nieces Emilia and Jordan. Wally was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
