

Victoria Adams Meyer went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, March 10, 2016. She was 90 years old. Daughter of the late Godofredo and Caridad Andrade Adams. Beloved wife of the late George T. Meyer. Loving mother of Elizabeth “Lisa” A. Williamson (Dan), Susan M. Jordan (Bo), and Ann M. Lewis (Johnny). Sister of Carmen A. Mandry and Hugo Adams (Carolina), and the late Luz A. Gonzalez and Henry Adams. Grandmother of Dr. John P. Lewis III, Gabrielle V. Lewis, Sarah E. Roccaforte, and Samuel L. Jordan. Aunt of Alexis Mandry, Patty Rushing, Angela Adams, Paul Mandry, Ed Adams, Tony Adams, and John Adams. She is also survived by her angel here on earth, her caregiver, Mirna Carabante. Victoria was born in Mexico City, Mexico, moved to the United States in 1955, and became a U. S. citizen in 1972. Vickie’s greatest joy was Jesus, and blessed many by sharing her testimony and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Williams Boulevard Baptist Church and their choir. She was also a member of the 700 Club Ministry, and in her earlier years, TOGOM Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue on Monday at 11:00AM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
