Toni, a resident of Baton Rouge, formerly from Luling, was preceded in death by her father, Euclid Tregre, Aunt Doris Palmer and cousin, Debrah Palmer Curry. I hope Deb met her at the gates with her visor and a good song on.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Riché Tregre and sister Donna (David) Abadie, nephews Jordan (Ashley and Oliver) Abadie and Nicholas (Adler Nieves-Abadie and Iris Nieves), cousins John and Shawn Curry, and Pam (Dan) Smith and Andrew (Jenna and Marigold) Smith. She leaves behind her mother-in-law, Vivian Vaughan and her brother-in-law, Bryan Vaughan.
She was the sweet, generous mother of Cory (Toni) Albers and Fawn (Lane) Foster. She rooted for them, protected them, rejoiced with them, and always kept on loving them. She was the keeper of our tickle spiders, George and Gertrude, and life will not be the same without them.
Toni was the beloved Gi Gi to Aidyn Nolting(23), Brooklyn(16) and Ethan Foster(21), and Sadie(17), Aubrey and Andy Albers(6). Her grandchildren were so important to her. They will forever remember her because she made sure she was always there, loving and spoiling them. Her presence is a present they will never forget.
She leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends that became like family to her. We love that you loved her, and we are so grateful for the wonderful relationships that you gave to her.
Toni was employed by CMA Technology Solutions in sales administration. She was a dedicated employee and absolutely loved her work family. We are thankful for all that you brought to her life.
In her happiest role, she was the wife to Russell, who made her feel so happy and loved. She went wherever he wanted to travel. Together they were the wonderful parents of their beloved dog, Rascal. He left the ruff life when he went from rescue to royalty in their home. She leaves an irreplaceable hole in their lives.
Toni loved laughing, Jazz Festing, anything NOLA, singing along to music she loved, her momma, answering Sadie’s “what you doing?” texts, this giant umbrella her dad got her with a map of the city on it, calling her kids when they were sitting down to dinner or on the toilet, sending heart emojis to her husband, spoiling her grandkids, bragging about “the boys”, surprise trips to Haydels, waking up insanely early in a great mood, going to bed before the sunset, coffee, reading fantasy, colorful shirts, dragons, finding red things to get for Aidyn and trippy, hippy things.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 2:00 p.m.
The mass will be available via livestream at http://client.tribucast.com/tcid/c25024769764615
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Animals Dog Adoption House https://fotabr.org/donate or Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency https://www.lopa.org/ in Toni’s memory.
We take a small measure of comfort knowing that she has left the burden of sickness behind. We will be hugging her in our souls every day. She anchored our lives, and we are exposed to the waves without her.
