Thurman Richard Kaiser, Sr., age 87, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2017. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Rosemary Reck Kaiser; his children, Kim Kaiser Prescott (Carl) and Thurman "Rickey" Kaiser, Jr. (Darian); grandchildren, Rachel and Krista Prescott and Gabriella Kaiser. Thurman was a native of New Orleans, born to the late John Richard Kaiser and Claire Maloney Kaiser. He served his country in the National Guard for 10 years and went on to begin his career working for GM&O Railroad and retired from Lykes Brothers Steamship Company. In his later years, he enjoyed weekend trips to the Gulf Coast with his wife. He also enjoyed music and dancing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all. Private services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. .
