Susan Mary Kron

Susan Mary Kron passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Rockledge, FL. She was age 63. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Elizabeth Kron Waligora. A native of New Orleans, LA, she was born on February 2, 1961. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Dalier Kron and the late John Louis Kron MD of New Orleans. She is survived by her sister Judith Anne Kron of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and received her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering magna cum laude from Tulane University School of Engineering, both of New Orleans. She enjoyed a successful career at Westinghouse and Siemens in Florida. Her projects included travel to Thailand, Brazil, and Italy. Her hobbies included enjoying the beach, sailing and watching rocket launches. Private services were held with interment at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA). In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 2734 Nashville Ave., New Orleans, LA 70115.
