Stephanie Brown O’Neil of Metairie, Louisiana, age 66, left this beautiful earth on Wednesday, July 12 2017 to join her parents, Esther Quartano Brown, and Perry Henry Brown in eternal life with the Lord. She leaves on earth her lifetime companion, Millie Tizzard, a sister, Perrilyn Hutcherson (Bo), two nieces, Lindsey Neal (Justin), and Kyle Coste (Micah) along with three grand nephews, Alexander, Asher and Augustine Neal.
Stephanie was a graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School in 1969. She was employed by DHHR, Office of Family Support as an Administrative Secretary and retired in 1995 with over 26 years of service. She was able to enjoy many beautiful trips in her travels at an early age due to her early retirement and as she worked. Stephanie enjoyed life and the people that came into her life and was no stranger to anyone. She had many passions and hobbies in her day. She loved researching her genealogy and spent many a day doing this research learning about her ancestors. She was the ISAAC (International Silver Art Bar Association) club historian for several years and wrote many fine articles for the printed bi-monthly ‘TheBugle’ as well as collecting silver art bars. Stephanie loved to collect antique pocket watches and wear them with the beautiful fob chains and charms she amassed as well as vintage wristwatches spending much of her time researching monograms with dates and/or names on the watches. She was a member of NAWCC (National Association of Watch & Clock Colletors), as well as our local chapter creole 43. She was also the moderator for an internet Horology Society for a few years enjoying researching her collection of antique pocket watches and vintage wristwatches as well as enjoying articles she wrote. Stephanie loved to garden, collecting many unusual and exotic plants from near and far as well as photographing their blooms. Her plants were the heartbeat in her daily life as she enjoyed the vast beauty and wonder of plants. What a beautiful and rewarding hobby she enjoyed.
Stephanie loved animals and raised a Shih-Tzu named Ming, a Snoodle named Lacey and her dearest and last of all, Holly, our Peek-A-Poo along the way. What a loving and adorable dog Holly was. Stephanie was a member of the Louisiana Humane Society as well as our local society. She will dearly be missed by many.
