Stella O’Connor Meany passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley John Meany, her parents, Stella and Joseph O’Connor, brother, Joseph O’Connor, Jr., and grandson, David Stanley Meade. Stella is survived by her children, Marie Meany Meade (Ted), Stanley John Meany, Jr. (Judy), Cheryl Meany Forster (Joe), Susan Meany Bondio; 10 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. She enjoyed the activities with IBEW Local 130 Retirees. She also enjoyed her Game Shows, and Sports, especially her Saints and Pelicans. She looked forward to Sunday Dinner and Monday Game Night with family. She was blessed to have many caring Children and Grandchildren who did their best to give her comfort and joy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass Celebrating her Life at Lake Lawn Funeral Home – Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm. The family will host a visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home, with the Mass in the Chapel following. Interment will be private.
