Stanley Blaise McDonald, Sr. passed away at the age of 89 on March 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 11, 1933 in New Orleans and was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He worked as a warehouseman for Western Electric Company and was a member of Good Shepherd Church and Mardi Gras Chorus. He enjoyed fishing, water aerobics, barbershop quartet singing, church choir, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his beloved wife of 57 years, Muriel Ouder McDonald; his parents, August R. and Rose McDonald; his sister, Viola Cuff; and his brothers, Paul McDonald, Sr., August P. McDonald, Sr., and Lawrence McDonald.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Williams (Bruce) and Elaine Boudreaux (Raymond); his son, Stanley B. McDonald, Jr. (Kimberly); his sister, Rose Bily (Douglas); his brother, Steven McDonald, Sr. (Mallory); his grandchildren, Megan Bergeron (Chris), Meredith Mautemps (Quinn), Benjamin Williams (Crystal), Samuel, Sarah, and Ian McDonald, and Katherine and Jacob Boudreaux; and his great-grandchildren, Sayler Williams, Archer Bergeron and Bailey Cox.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with Fr. Randall M. Graf officiating. Interment is to take place in Metairie Cemetery.
