Sandra Crochet Kern

Born in Napoleonville, Sandra graduated from Assumption High School, earned an Associate's Degree from Nicholls State, and served Airline Animal Hospital as an Office Manager and St. Christopher's in their Ladies' Altar Society. More than tennis, travelling with friends, and even rocking babies in hospitals, Sandra adored her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Sandra is survived by her loving spouse of 53 years, Anatole Joseph Kern; children Jerome David Kern (Molly) and Rochelle Kern Autin (Jared); sister Anna Lea Crochet (Paul); and grandchildren Joseph Thomas Kern, Tyler Joseph Autin, Alexis Clara Kern, and Brady John Autin. She was preceded in death by parents Edward Joseph Crochet and Luce Breaux Crochet; and brothers Horace Perry Crochet and Clinton Joseph Crochet.

The family would like to give special thanks to Sandra's amazing neighbors, Janice and Melanie, who were like family; the staff at Peristyle Residences for their exceptional care, especially Renada; loving caregiver, Vanessa; and long-time friends, Alice, Jackie, and Gene.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a memorial Mass at 12:00 PM, and Reception to follow.
