Salvador "Sal" A. Serio, Sr.

Salvador “Sal” A. Serio, Sr., passed away January 4, 2024 at the age of 95. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA. He attended Holy Cross High School. Sal worked as a salesman for Maison Blanche, Rubenstein’s and Johnston and Murphy Department Stores. He was a member of The Maison Blanche Commercial Athletic Association Touch Football Team and an avid Bowler in the late 50’s and early 60’s. He was also an Independent League Football Running Back for Bunny Friend Playground in the late 40’s.

Beloved husband of over 74 years to Catherine Levigne Serio. Son of the late Salvador and Concetta Serio. Loving father of Cathy Serio Boever (Dick) and Sal A. Serio, Jr. (Joanne). Adoring grandfather of Dana Vidal (David), Shelley Bouterie (Alan), Brian Boever (Heather), David Serio, and Amanda Rigney (Patrick). Also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
