Ryan James Richard

Ryan James Richard passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 43. A resident of Madisonville, Ryan loved his children, his family and friends. He loved to entertain, create moments and life memories for all. He had a passion for the Tchefuncta River and all its beauty. He found joy in bringing happiness to others, to sum things up he was a Friend.

Ryan is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joseph Warren and Annie Backstrom Brown; his uncle, James Backstrom; his aunt, Barbara Hendry; and his cousin, William McCardle.

He is survived by his dearest Amy; his children, Ryan Jr., Lauren, and Nicholas Richard; his parents, Paul Raymond and Susan Richard, Sr.; his brother, Paul Raymond Richard, Jr. (Cameron); grandparents, Willie and Leatrice McCardle; and the mother of his children, Stacey Glotfelty. Ryan is also survived by numerous beloved relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 beginning at 12:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
