Rosemary Staehle passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, age 86 years. Beloved mother of Wanda Adams and the late Richard DeWailly. Mother-in-law of Wanda DeWailly. Grandmother of Tara Dufrene (Joey), and great-grandmother of Vaniess Dufrene. Sister of the late Dorothy Mae Goll, Elvige Yucis, and Marianna Marcello. Daughter of the late John J. Staehle and Elvige Dansereau Elmer.
Rosemary was a past president and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Orleans Power Squadron, a past president and member of the New Orleans Women’s Club, and was a member of the Scarlet Sisters Red Hatters, and the Friends of the Red Hatters.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Louisiana SPCA (www.la-spca.org) or Masses, would be much appreciated.
