Robert del Corral Roth

Robert del Corral Roth, age 95, died on June 11, 2017. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Metairie, LA. Bob was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and later went on to pursue his career in the insurance industry. He worked for Met Life for over 45 years. In his earlier years, Bob was very active in St. Catherine of Siena’s church community and was on the parish council. He would always lend a helping hand with the weekly bingo and collection counting on Mondays. Bob was very honored and proud to have established the first Boy Scout Troop in Jefferson Parish in 1958. He was also a board member for Lafreniere Park and associated with numerous insurance organizations. Bob had a passion for golf and poker, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Elva Lee Tregle Roth; his parents Herbert J. Roth and Alma del Corral Roth; his brothers, Richard L. Roth, Kenneth H. Roth and Brother Keith Roth. He is survived by his 8 children; Robert del Corral Roth II (Loretta), Pamela R. Armstrong (Jay), Randy R. Roth (Melanie),Peggy R. Beck (Denis), John S. Roth (Cindy), Gregory P. Roth (Maggie), Susan R Hardeman (Ajae) and Jane R. Butler (Bobby). He was a proud grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Carol Kratzberg, Sally K. Roth, Susan Roth, Jill Stuehler, Robin R. Roth and Kirk F. Roth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA 70005, on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 12 Noon. Visitation will begin at 10AM until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Robert.
