Robert Ricca

Robert William Ricca, (1938-2015), surrounded by his family, was carried home by the angels on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 to be with his mother, Mary “Mommie” Messina Hollier and father, Joseph L. Ricca and step-father Jake Wilbert Hollier after a long battle with cancer. He was the proud father of: Robert Jr, Craig and (Cheryl), Neil and (Julie), (Sergio) and Angela, Dominic and (Kacie). He will be missed dearly by his 11 grandchildren: Robert III, Toni, Renee, CJ, Gabrielle, Jake, Jade, Emma, Michela, Jayden, and Jax; along with his 7 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Richard J Ricca (wife Linda), sister Betty Braniff Clemens (husband Jim), half brother Joseph "Joey" Ricca, and aunt Simonette Messina Grisaro. He led a fun and active life during his 77 years here on Earth. He was a compassionate and giving man who would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell, La. He will truly be missed by his family and all that met him along the way. Services will be held on Monday, November 30th at Lakelawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00- 1:00 followed by a Catholic mass beginning at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Vincent-de-Paul or the Good Sam’s Ministry.
