He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Lisa Jo Everett Hienz.
Son of the late Edward George Hienz, Sr. and Mildred “Millie” McWherter Hienz. Brother of the late Michael Frederick Hienz and Edward George Hienz, Jr.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins, as well as many friends that he considered family.
Robert was a proud alumnus of Sam Barthe, St. Martin’s Episcopal School, and Loyola University. He was a member of Council for a Better Louisiana, AICPA, and a former board member of YAYA. He was especially proud of his 25 year tenure as the treasurer of the Krewe of Orpheus. He was a founder and treasurer for Friends in Need Foundation. He was also the former treasurer of Krewes for Karnival’s First Responders. Robert worked as a Certified Public Accountant and was a partner at Hienz & Macaluso CPAs. He was an avid Saints fan and original season ticketholder since 1967. Robert loved to travel and loved classic music and classic television shows.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service officiated by Mr. John Adams, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM.
