Rita Marie Chimera Sachitano, loving wife and mother, died peacefully at Woodland Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Diamondhead, MS, on November 16, 2018. She was 93. Mrs. Sachitano was a native of New Orleans, LA, and resided in Pass Christian, MS for the last 38 years.
Survivors include her husband of 76 years, Anthony Sachitano, Jr., two daughters, Carol Sachitano May and June Sachitano Wilson; two sons, Richard A. Sachitano, M.D. (Lynn), and Gerald D. Sachitano. Also survived by a sister, Marilyn Kelly (Jerry). She was preceded in death by her parents, Fulton Chimera, Sr. and Camille Tranchina Chimera Bellanga, a brother, Fulton Chimera, Jr. (June), and a sister, Camille Chimera Crawford. Mrs. Sachitano is survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Private burial was held in Metairie Cemetery.
