He was a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School and the University of New Orleans. In his free time, he devoted many years to coaching and enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, and smoking cigars, but above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Karon Karl Leveque; daughters, Lindsey Leveque Barbee (Joel Marino) and Karla Leveque Landry (Jacob); grandchildren, Cruze Michael Barbee, Kora Rosélite Landry, and Kampmann Leigh Landry; brother, Kenneth Jay Leveque (Lise) and sister, Laura Jean Leveque; nieces, Melanie Renée Leveque, and Julie Erin Leveque; along with extended beloved Kampmann, Gauthe, Ross, Karl, Pedelahore, Vamvoras, Torres, Landry, Marino, Generes, & Wiles families.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Walter “Stickman” Leveque, Jr. and Joyce Kampmann Leveque.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic memorial service, officiated by Fr. Bob Massett, in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2:30 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM. After the chapel service, eulogies will be shared. He will be put to rest privately at a later date.
