Ray Paul Laurent

Ray Paul passed away on July 21, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Addison Laurent; loving father of Gerard “Jerry” Laurent (Maureen), Louis P. Laurent, Sr., and Dolores Laurent. Cherished grandfather of Louis Laurent, Jr., and Lauren Laurent and great-grandfather of Carter Kelly. Resident of Terrytown, Ray was a veteran of WWII and worked as a naval ship inspector. Preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Lise LeBlanc Laurent and Antoine Laurent; twin brother, Roy Laurent; and sister, Anna Laurent Marzianti. Survived and dearly missed by his sister, Rita Laurent Landry, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family is grateful to Dr. Pablo Labadie, Dr. Patricia Wright, Heart of Hospice, and Lauren Laurent, Collette Reese Laurent, Jackie Haddican, Shirley Batt, and William Rigney for their loving care of Ray.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 am.
