Grandfather of Margaret Ruiz Hartzell, Taylor Patrick Ruiz, Dylan Ruiz, Sidney Ruiz, Brian James Ruiz, Harry Vincent Ruiz, Samantha Marie Ruiz Martin, Rachael Nicole Ruiz, and Alex Michael Ruiz.

Great grandfather of Iris Mae Hartzell, Mayson Michael Ruiz, Zachary Michael Ruiz, Martin Ray Hartzell, and Riley Lynn Ruiz.

Brother of Donna Ruiz DeBlanc and Peter Ruiz.

He was a parishioner of Saint Ann Catholic Church and National Shrine. He served his country in the United States National Guard.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3368 Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery #3.
