Ramon Alfonso Bermudez, 92, passed away on May 31, 2017 at his home in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Peralta Bermudez and father, Manuel Bermudez; sister, Esperanza and brother, Guillmero. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Bermudez; daughter, Ana Savoy (Donald); son, Ray Bermudez (Mary); sister Nidya; brothers, Ricardo, Manuel, Enrique and Chema; grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Shelby, Dylan, Donald and Erica; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Charlotte, Donald, Dominque, and Cierra; daughter-in-laws, Alicia and Mary Bermudez; nieces, nephews and great friends Louis Salinas and Noel Vargas. Ramon served in the National Guard of Louisiana and received a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Republic of Nicaragua. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans. Visitation will be held prior to the service and will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
