Philip Anthony Braun, Jr.

Philip A. Braun, Jr., a retired lieutenant with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital of complications from a lengthy illness. He was 68 years old. He was formerly a sergeant in the Marine Corps Reserves. Survivors include his wife Sharon Cuccia Braun, son Philip A. Braun III, daughter Elizabeth Braun Miller (Kenneth), step-son William Chadwell, Jr. (Tasha), grandchildren Evan Chadwell and Layken Carpenter, father Philip A. Braun, Sr., and sisters Gaynell Braun Pearson and Gwen Braun Moore. He was preceded in death by his mother, Greta Nissen Braun, and sister, Greta Mary Braun Quinlan. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM.
