Peter is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Giordano Trask; son Peter Bradford (Brad) Trask, Jr.; daughter Stacie Erin Trask; son-in-law Jesus Ramirez-Valles and grandson Cameron Gutenschwager Valles Trask.
Born in New Orleans, he attended Metairie High School and Louisiana State University and also served in the U.S. Army. During his professional career he worked for Westinghouse Electric, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and The Square D Company. In his volunteer work, he favored literacy programs and help for disabled community members. He was a dedicated polling place captain for his Bissonet Plaza neighborhood. He was also a passionate blood donor, in honor of his sister who died of complications from a hospital transfusion, and received recognition for donating the maximum lifetime amount. He was a passionate bowler, an avid reader, movie-goer and music-lover.
Peter was preceded in death by his father George F. Trask (d. 1990) and mother Marguerite Jamerson Trask (d. 1993); sister Marguerite "Peggy" Trask (d. 1969) and brother William "Billy" G. Trask (d. 1964).
