Paulette Smith Lazare

Beloved wife of Rene (Buddy) J. Lazare, Jr., mother of Kim Faught (David) and Bryan Lazare (Sandra). Grandmother of Bailey Faught, Peyton Faught, and Samantha Rousset (Robert). Great-grandmother of Clifton Rousset. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gay Lazare and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School and Loyola University. She was a teacher at Metairie High School for seven years and Ecole Classique for 28 years.

Paulette is preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Centia Williams and William Williams who raised her, brother-in-law, Charles Lazare and sister-in-law, Gloria Giffroy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St. in Metairie on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 12 noon. Visitation will begin at 10am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park.
