Paul Joseph Blanchard

Paul entered eternal peace at his home on Monday June14th at 8:00 a.m., at the age of 60 years. He was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans. Loving husband of Deborah McKenna Blanchard and devoted father of John Paul Blanchard and Alan Joseph Blanchard. Preceded in death by his father Harold Louis Blanchard, Sr., his mother Edna Martinez Blanchard, and his brother Harold Louis Blanchard, Jr. Survived by his sisters Diane Balnchard and Robbin Hardee. Cherished and loved by many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Paul was a graduate of Delgado College with an Associates Degree in Visual Communications - Advertising Art. He was a graphic illustrator for Maison Blanche for 10 years and a Commercial Art Instructor for Audubon College for 8 years. During his career he gained many lifelong friends. He was an Eucharistic Minister and parishioner of St. Dominic Church. He was a former Social Director of the St. Dominic Men's Club. He was a Block Captain post Katrina to help with the recovery of Lakeview.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service and Mass on Friday, June 18th at St. Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with mass starting at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity is appreciated.
