He is survived by his mother, Jean A. Pat graduated from Jesuit High School and went on to obtain a BS degree in mechanical engineering from LSU and an MBA from Tulane. He worked at John Nuveen and Company, Howard Weil Labouisse Friedrichs, Union Pacific Resources and Capital One Southcoast, among others. After several years of working as an investment banker, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst credential.
Pat was an outstanding classical pianist and loved to entertain family and friends with his playing. He also enjoyed exercising and snow skiing and always looked forward to his annual skiing trip with his close friends. In recent years as his health declined, he developed a love for country music and a fascination with cats. Throughout the course of his debilitating disease, he maintained a sense of humor and his generous nature. Despite his suffering he always put others first and looked out for the well-being of his family and friends.
