Mr. Patrick Michael Fitzgerald

Patrick Michael Fitzgerald, 64, passed away on June 19, 2015. Patrick was a New Orleans Native, and was the son of the late Roy Joseph Fitzgerald and the late Adalaine Fitzgerald. He is survived by his three children Ryan Fitzgerald (Jessica), Sean Fitzgerald, and Bridget Fitzgerald Estes (Charlie); grandchildren Ashlynn, Katelyn, Peyton, Bailey, and Caden; former spouse Sandra Lampley Halckias; and sisters Sandra de Blanc (J.C.), and Erin Maffe (Glenn).

Patrick graduated from Redemptorist High School, and then went on to serve in the United States Naval Reserve. After his discharge from the military, he began his career with Entergy, where he retired after over 40 years. Patrick was a proud Irishman, who loved sports and his family dearly. He will be remembered by his generous, caring, and fun-loving nature. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate Patrick’s life at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. To honor Patrick’s wishes, guests are requested to wear green, and no suits. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
