Olga Garcia Russo

Olga Garcia Russo passed away on Thursday March 25, 2021 at the age of 104. She was the beloved wife for 67 years of the late Earl Francis Russo, Sr. Daughter of the late Rudolph Garcia and Mary Stilger. Loving mother of Earl F. Russo, Jr., David P. Russo, and Brian R. Russo. Mother-in-law of Juanita C. Russo, Linda P. Russo, and Carolyn C. Russo. Sister of the late Sylvester Garcia, Rudolph Garcia, Jr., and Dolores G. Ethridge. Grandmother of Earl F. Russo, III, Shawn Russo, Christopher Russo, Lisa Russo Solary, Emily Russo Aucoin, Sally Russo, and Andrew Russo. Great-grandmother of Cody, Dylan, Earl IV, and Ashleigh Russo, Isabella Pineda, Zoe and Anthony Russo, Evelyn, Henry, and Molly Aucoin.

She and her husband were Square and Round dancers enjoying 41 years of dancing. They were members of School House Squares, Swing and Turn, Bar None Saddle-Ites, School House Round Dance, and Gadabout and Roundabouts dance clubs. Mrs. Russo was a member of St. Agnes Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and St. Agnes Altar Society. Mrs. Russo and her husband were honored recipients of the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, LA 70121, on Monday March 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Agnes Church.
