Olga Spears Jones

Olga Spears Jones was born on December 19, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to the late Dr. Mack Justin Spears and Olga Abadie Spears. She departed this life and entered eternal rest on October 13, 2022, at her home in Boyds, MD.

Olga was the Valedictorian of her class at McDonogh #35 High School and received a full scholarship to Dillard University, class of 1965. Olga was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and earned the title of "Golden Soror" in 2014 for 50 years of service. Olga spent 45 years as a middle and high school science educator in Montgomery County, MD, retiring in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Theodore Jones and is survived by her son, Justin S. Mason (Nichole Mason), daughter Kirsten A. Jones, and six grandchildren. Olga will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Lake Lawn Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. The interment will follow the visitation at Lake Lawn Park.
