Olga Maria Tercero Guillot

Mrs. Olga Maria Tercero Guillot, 94 yrs old went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2017. She was born in Granada, Nicaragua and lived in New Orleans, La., She was recently living in Lexington, Ky. She was the wife of the late Jesse Simeon Guillot and mother of the late Lawrence James Guillot, both of New Orleans, La. She is survived by her son, Brian Francis Guillot (wife, Diane Sahuque Guillot) of Metairie, La., and her daughter Lydia Marie Guillot, formerly of New Orleans, La., now living in Lexington, KY. She is also survived by her Granddaughters, Madeline Guillot Schott (husband, Michael F. Schott, Jr.) and Rachel Elizabeth Guillot and Great Granddaughter, Molly Ann Schott. Olga was a graduate of McMain High School. She also attended Allen School of Business and earned a secretarial degree. During WWII, she was a Translator of Spanish documents for the United States government. After the war, she was employed by Delta Steamship Company as a secretary. She attended and graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans with a degree in Education and went to Tulane University in New Orleans pursuing a Master's in Spanish literature. She attended Delgado Community College and earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science. She was a also a real estate agent with Grady Harper, as well as Stan Weber and later Prudential Real Estate. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones, family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Heart Association.
