Nicholas Allen Leonard, aged 35, passed away on May 4th, 2024. Born on December 27, 1988, in Metairie, Louisiana, he is predeceased by his mother, Allene M. Leonard. His surviving family members include his father, Jeffery D. Leonard; his aunt and legal guardian, Maryann Lamm, who he affectionately referred to as "mama" and "nanny"; his cousin and caretaker, Nicole Lamm; his sister, Carli Lane; and his brother, Keith Porche, Jr. Nicholas was the grandson of Allen E. Moreau, Amelia G. Moreau, Carolyn Mauthe (Ben), and Gilbert Leonard, and the nephew of Anthony C. Lamm, Sr., Sherlyn M. Dwelle, Michelle Hall (Rusty), Scott Leonard, and Matt Leonard. His cousins include Anthony C. Lamm, Jr., William Dwelle Jr., Tammy Dwelle, Duane Dwelle, Emily Dwelle, Chris Hall (Chloe) and Corey Hall (Ashley).
The family extends a special thank you to the medical staff of Children's Hospital, EJGH LCMC, Ochsner, Frescenius, and Nurses Registry for their care and support.
Nicholas never missed a chance to plan his next birthday bash, culinary adventure, or social shindig, no matter how he felt. He was a maestro of the phone lines and a shopping aficionado—just ask any customer service rep who had the pleasure (or peril) of taking his call. A devout devotee of Michael Kors, Nicholas was a walking wishlist, making gift-giving a breeze for all who knew him.
His leisure hours were spent glued to episodes of ER or the Cooking Channel, and he was always up for a movie night. Nicholas had a knack for making indelible impressions and could recall phone numbers with the ease of a seasoned operator. Known for his sociable nature and intuitive spirit, he relished laughter—both in generating it and sharing it.
Living life to the absolute fullest, Nicholas’s absence will be profoundly felt by his family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. And let’s not forget—he was nanny's little angel boy, forever and always.
