Nancy was born and raised in New Orleans, and graduated from St. Joseph High School and then attended Southeastern University, where she met her husband, Paul, and many lifelong friends.
While in High School, Nancy also graduated from cosmetology school, where she learned her skills as a hair stylist. By the late 1970s, she opened her own home beauty shop, where her customers became lifelong dear friends, who were as close as family.
Nancy was an active member of the Z Club of New Orleans with her husband, where they enjoyed autocrossing and road rallies in their British racing green 1971 Datsun 240Z (GO FAST).
She raised her two children, April and Paul. She was an active part of their lives. She was a troop leader for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. She was a constant presence at all of our events, extracurriculars. She didn’t miss anything!
After Hurricane Katrina, Nancy and Paul began their retirement, and traveled in their 40 foot home on wheels and went to the lower 48 states including Route 66 from start to finish. They explored the United States from coast to coast and top to bottom. They cruised to Alaska where they experienced some amazing views and have some great memories together.
One of her many joys were her five grandchildren. She loved spoiling them with snacks and cookies. She taught them to swim, bake, ride bikes, and tie shoes. She was an amazing Grandmother to them.
She was a good friend ,sister, cousin, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed and we will always enjoy the memories.
