Michael P. Zeringue

Michael Paul Zeringue born September 14th, 1954 passed away at the age of 66 years young on August 1st, 2021. Born in New Orleans, La. and a resident of old Jefferson, La. He was a graduate of Bonnabel High School, Class of 1973. Michael, mostly known as Mike to his family and friends was also an Alumni of PHI BETA CHI Fraternity. He spent most of his life working as a Plumber and Auto Body Technician.

He is preceded in death by his wife Linda G. Deibel Zeringue who passed away in 1997. His parents were Oswald J. Zeringue "O.J" and Mabel M. Griffen Zeringue. He is also preceeded in death by his baby brother Gabriel J. Zeringue. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey A. Zeringue (Ben), his older brother Eric J. Zeringue Sr. and nephew Eric J. Zeringue Jr (Amanda). As well as his step Children Melinda A. Guidry (Scott), Nicholas P. Guidry (Jessica) and Stephanie E. Adair (Jayson). He had 9 Grandchildren including Kyle, Jayson, Tyler, Devin, Hayden, Annalise, Joel, Travis and Madison.

An enjoyer of Sci Fi and Horror movies and all things strange, he loved documentaries going over the mysteries of the world. Some of his hobbies include restoring furtniture, drawing, reading and painting. If he wasn't at home or working on a project you could often find him getting coffee or thrifting with his daughter, trying new restaurants with his brother or seeing some friends at his local hangout spots. He came into this world rambunctious and left the same way.

The family would like to give special thanks to friends and extended family for your love and support at this time. The visitation will take place at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. His ashes will be interred in the Zeringue Family Tomb in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed.
