Michael Bruce Weldon died at his home in Metairie, Louisiana, on Sunday, December 20, 2020. He was 57 years of age. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Vivian Muralles Weldon; his birth mother, Joyce Albright; his adoptive mother, Carol Sue Kelley Hall; his sisters, Janet Albright, Angel Elliot, and Reneé Preuninger; his brothers, Mario Muralles, Leonel Muralles, Edwin Scot Hall, and Eric Hall; his father and mother-in-law, Jose and Silvia Muralles; and his dear fur-babies, Elvis and Oakley. He will be greatly missed by all his nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his birth father, Leon Bruce Weldon; his adoptive father, Doyel Theodore Hall; his grandmother, E. Marie Magnus; and his uncle, W.E. “Dub” Behne.
Michael was born on November 10, 1963 in Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School in Gilmer, Texas. In the 1980s, he served in the United States Navy.
Michael’s talent and creative ambitions allowed him an illustrious career, which included working on various movie sets and television commercials. He spent many years in radio programming; over the years, he worked for Cumulus Radio, Entercom Communications, and Marco Metro Scan. Most recently, he worked with Drive Dat Academy as a driving instructor and Spud McConnell on the podcast, ‘Newsmakers and Ballbreakers’. Michael was also a stand-up comic, performing at numerous comedy clubs around the country, and was a contestant on America’s Got Talent.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00PM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum (in Metairie Cemetery).
