Michael Dan Haskins

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia Usey Haskins and Tim Haskins; grandparents, Catherine and Roy Usey, Sr.; and aunt and uncle, Myra and Roy Usey, Jr.

Michael is survived by his wife, Catherine Haskins; daughter, Meredith Rogers (Jerry); grandchild, Jerry Rogers, III; father-in-law, John R. Porter; cousins, Roy III, Kim, Catherine, Carolyn, Susan, and Karen; brother-in-law, David Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A parishioner of St. Jean Vianney, Michael was a faithful catholic and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, previously serving as Grand Knight. Michael was a veteran of the Army National Guard; he was an active member of the American Legion and was a past commander. He loved history and earned his degree in history from UNO. Michael is remembered for his good sense of humor and his dedication to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral mass on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. until the mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
