Mary "DeeDee" R. Hebert Williams

She was preceded in death by her parents, Imelda Stroble Hebert and her father, Joseph Curtis Hebert; husband of 60 years, Lt. Col. James Guynes Williams; siblings, Carol Hebert Baudry, June Hebert Leingang, and Joseph “Jack” Jacques Hebert.

Beloved mother of her four daughters, Judith Williams Arnette (the late Dowell), Jennifer Williams Weidig (Paul), Sally Williams Brink (John), and Jane C. Williams; cherished grandchildren, Louise Dickinson Garten, Jacob McGavock “Mac” Dickinson V (Becky), Laura Arnette McPhail (Cord); great grandchildren, Jacob “Jake” McGavock Dickinson VI, Delaney Hand, Lacy McGavock Garten, and William James “Will” McPhail; and numerous nieces and nephews.

DeeDee was a resident of Ville Ste. Marie prior to her residency at Our Lady of Wisdom. The family wishes to thank the staff at Our Lady of Wisdom for their care and compassion.

DeeDee was always a pillar of strength even in her failing health.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and graveside services will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, masses or donations to a charity of choice are preferred.
