Marvin Jules Ragas Jr.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of his beloved city of New Orleans. He was a service technician for the USPS Vehicle Maintenance Facility. Marvin was an avid motorcyclist and mechanic with a very creative mind. He adored his two dogs Mammy and Donut. Mr. Ragas is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Hardie Ragas and Lydia Goodman Ragas and his maternal grandparents George Antoine and Mildred Smith Antoine, also by his father Marvin Jules Ragas Sr., and his three uncles Carol Ragas, Ronald Ragas, and George Xavier Antoine. He is survived by his mother, Shirleymae Antoine Ragas, his sister Catherine Ragas Eschete, his niece Kelly Ragas Cantu, her husband Mario Cantu, his great-niece Allison Cantu, his great-nephew Mario Cantu, his Aunt Carol Heft Antoine, cousins Christina Antoine and Toni Ann Ragas, and his former wife Carol Dupree along with many good friends and extended family as well.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 23 at 3:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church 2624 Burgundy St New Orleans, LA 70117 with repast to follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
