Martha Marquez Pino

Martha Marquez Pino passed away on January 20, 2019 at age 86. She was born in Chaparra, Providence of Oriente Cuba to the late Blanca and Juan Marquez. Martha was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard P.Pino. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Pino Cowart (Randy); her son, Leonard J. Pino (Cesnie); a sister, Helene M. Toney; grandsons, Ray Cowart (Chelsea) and Chris Cowart (Charlotte).

Martha received a Masters Degree in education from Dominican College and was a teacher for the New Orleans Public School System for 30 years. She was also a member a of the Teacher's Retirement System of Louisiana. Martha was a parishioner of many catholic churches as she moved to different cities including, St. Dominic in New Orleans, St. Thomas Aquinas in Roswell, GA, St. Benedict Catholic Church in Johns Creek, GA and Our Lady of the Angels in Bradenton, FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Memorial Service on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 12 pm in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans. Public visitation is from 11 am until service time followed by an inurnment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
