Marilyn Lee Thompson

08/08/1944 - 01/12/2023

Scholarship graduate of Methodist Hospital school of nursing in Lubbock,Texas 1965. She worked many specialty areas throughout her 53 year nursing career. Marilyn came to Louisiana as a travel RN and stayed to become a longtime resident of Metairie.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father Arvel Lee Thompson and mother Willie Ruth Lindley Thompson and her younger brother Gary Mack Thompson.

Marilyn is survived by her life partner Karen Mau Molero and her four beloved dogs; her brother Larry Joe Thompson and nephew Cody Thompson and his three children; Ashtin, Brylie and Easten.

Marilyn shared her life with Karen’s family. She was loved by her “adopted” relatives and will be deeply missed by Janice, Beryl, Darice, Wendy, Jan and their families.

At her request there will be a private celebration of life with family and close friends after cremation.
