Born March 5, 1935, she was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore Loria and Matilda DiMaggio Loria, her brother, Dominic Loria, and her loving husband of 58 years, Gilbert Thomas White.
Marian graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she met Gilbert. Marian was happiest when she was expressing her artistic talents which ranged from performing in plays and writing in her high school days, to creating tiny worlds with miniatures for many years, to creating and cooking delicious meals for her family throughout her life. She was also a movie enthusiast, loved literature, and enjoyed reciting her favorite poems. Her creativity, intelligence, wit, humor and loving spirit were evident to all, but were most adored by her six children - Mark White (Debbie Alford), Donna Raspanti (Joe), Thomas White (Angie), Linda Draper (Doug), Lori Seals (Eric), and Christine White.
She was known as Grammy to her six loving grandchildren, Philip Raspanti (Kristin), Michael Raspanti, Megan Seals, Amanda Seals, Ally Seals, Anna White, and her great grandson, Kane Raspanti.
Marian brought love and laughter to all around her and family was always her top priority. She will be missed very much.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Lakelawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. and services to follow at 12:00 p.m.
