Marcia Harriet Cohen, age 65, died at her home in New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday, November 8, 2021. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband of 13 ½ years, Jeffrey M. Cohen, and her parents, William Solomon Krasnow and Ruth Ytkin Krasnow. She is survived by her loving siblings, Holly Krasnow Banks and Gary N. Krasnow; a nephew, Jacob Paine Krasnow; a niece, Teresa A. “Annie” Palmer (Matthew T. Palmer); and a sister-in-law, Loretta Krentel Krasnow.
Marcia was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 29, 1956. She and her husband lived in South Carolina, and in 2015 she moved to New Orleans. She was a retired department store sales clerk in Knoxville, Tennessee. Marcia received a B.S. degree in 1982 at University of Tennessee with a concentration in early childhood education. She was a member of the Lakeview Shepherd Center, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, the Tennessee Volunteers, was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, and most recently, learned how to play bridge.
