Madeline Ardis Young Bourgeois

Madeline Ardis Young Bourgeois entered into eternal rest, surrounded by her loved ones on January 30, 2024. Born, January 8, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, only to become a New Orleanian years later. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth Gordon and Frank Peter Young and Liz's father, Tony Bourgeois. Survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ M. Bourgeois (Steven); two grandchildren, Lily Michele Murchison and Cade Anthony Murchison, whom she adored; sister, Frances Young Krapf and brother-in-law, Robert Krapf; nephews, Andrew Krapf (Sharon) and Patrick Krapf; niece, Amy Krapf Hashemi (Iman) and grandnephew, Noah Hashemi. Madeline also leaves behind her beloved loyal fur baby, LuLu. Having spent many years as beautician, Madeline later became a merchandiser for American Tobacco and Mars Candy.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. followed by Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM on May 11, 2024; at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1908 Short Street, Kenner 70062. Burial will be held privately.
