Mack Paul Ackermann

Mack Paul Ackermann passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the age of 83. Son of the late Frank A. Ackermann and Maria S. Ackermann. Survived by his wife of 58 years Lorraine I. Ackermann, daughter Carla A. Montalbano (Albert), and grandson Dustin R. Montalbano. Also survived by 2 brothers, Francis A. Ackermann (Ellen), and Marvin J. Ackermann (June). Mack served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from October 1951 through October 1953.

The family would like to thank the Nursing and Administrative Staff and all the CNAs that helped care for Mack at Metairie Healthcare Center, also the wonderful Staff of Harmony Hospice.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Louisiana, 3445 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 902, Metairie, LA 70002.
